Brown bears and Grizzly bears are the same species. They only differ in size. Brown bears live along the coasts of Alaska and eat mostly protein-rich salmon. Grizzly bears live inland and depend on berries and small mammals. A brown bear can weigh over 1000 pounds, while a grizzly will weigh far less.
