Matanuska Valley Colony Barn 10-Note Card Packs

During the Great Depression the Federal Emergency Relief Administration created an experimental agricultural colony in the Matanuska Valley. A couple hundred destitute farm families from the Midwest were offered an opportunity to start over in Alaska. The colony was the only colony ever established anywhere by the U.S. government.
